The Bad Taste Bears sprung into the public eye after the first batch of collectable figurines was released at the Birmingham International Spring Fair in 1999. Suddenly, by adorning an icon of innocence with the less savoury aspects of humanity, this teddy bear became a totem of cheeky rebellion. As a vehicle for our own vices and misdemeanours, a generation embraced the opportunity of it being OK to be naughty, and a phenomenon was born.
In addition to being reproduced on stationery, clothing, accessories, soft furnishings and jewellery, the core product of the Bad Taste Bears collectable figurine has to date appeared in over 400 guises with enthusiastic collectors across the world.
Even with an archive of well over 2,000 Bad Taste Bears sketches, there's still a remote chance that you can think of something different. If you'd like to flex your own twisted imagination and have it immortalised in a piece of Bad Taste Bears art, just get in touch.
